Sandringham Sports Physio offers two free careers sessions each year to Year 10 -12 students, covering: Physiotherapy, Remedial Massage/Myotherapy, Podiatry, and Dietetics & Sports Nutrition. If you are interested in a career in Sports Medicine, this is an opportunity to visit our Clinic, meet with practitioners from various fields, participate in workshops and have their questions answered by experienced therapists.
Workshops are for observation purposes only and do not require students to participate in manual techniques. Workshops are designed to be interactive allowing students to ask questions related to a career in Sports Medicine. Numbers are limited to 27 students & registration is required. Students will be provided with a certificate of attendance upon completion.

Is Sitting the new Smoking?
In this presentation, physiotherapist Robert De Nardis will outline the importance of ergonomics to optimise positioning at the desk. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how to adjust their workspace to reduce the risk of injury and enhance efficiency during work or study. People that spend any amount of time behind a desk, whether at work, home or school, are encouraged to attend.

Fueling and Re-fueling for Growing Athletes
FREE ADMISSION – Hosted by our Sports Dietitian, this talk will outline the energy requirements for growing athletes, the importance of a balanced diet, essential fueling (covering main meals and energetic snack options) pre and post-exercise. Participants will walk away with the necessary knowledge to know which foods are ideally suited for active growing teenagers, equipping them with knowledge for healthy eating habits. Parents, young athletes, and growing active kids in our Bayside community are encouraged to attend. The talk will run for 30 minutes, and there will be time for Q&A.
