Sandringham Sports Medicine is rightly known as one of the most progressive and dynamic private practices in Melbourne. Our recently acquired Real Time Ultrasound allows for advanced imaging of musculoskeletel disorders, core and pelvic floor imaging and retraining.
We have a dedicated team of 10 physiotherapists, one osteopath, 2 podiatrists, and 3 Massage/Myotherapists and we work in close association with Melbourne's leading orthopedic and sports physicians. We operate a 7 day per week service, as well as supplying physiotherapy services to prominent sporting teams such as the successful Sandringham Football Club, Melbourne Tigers and Sabres basketball.
The Clinic offers an exceptional mentoring program, where all new staff are assigned to one of our senior physiotherapists. Mentoring at SSM aims to provide the new therapist with support in areas of: clinical decision making, sports injury management, professional conduct, career guidance, presentation and public speaking skills and patient management advice not instructed at the undergraduate level. Our senior Physiotherapists will guide new practitioners and in-house education program on such topics as:
• Dry Needling for acute and chronic sporting/ musculoskeletal conditions
• Active Lumbar stabilisation
• Management of acute and chronic whiplash disorders
• Soft tissue injury rehabilitation
• Management of TMJ disorders and Cervico genic headaches
• Clinical Pilates.
As this facility is always expanding, employment opportunities exist for vibrant and enthusiastic practitioners who are willing to work within a team. Experience is preferred but not essential, maturity and life skills will equip you well to work within this dynamic team of clinicians.
