    Team involvement includes: Sandringham Football Club, Melbourne Tigers Basketball Team, Victorian Rugby Union, Sabres Basketball Association, Sandringham Athletics Club

    Special Interests: Whiplash, Headaches, Clinical Pilates, Sports Injuries and Dry Needling.

    Graduated from Melbourne University in 2000

    Worked in Tasmania in an outpatient setting for 3 years and has been with us here at Sandringham Sports Medicine since 2004

    Special interests in the treatment of headaches, neck pain, hamstring injuries, shoulder pain and knee pain

    Utilises Clinical Pilates and Dry Needling for the treatment of musculoskeletal pain

    Physiotherapist for the Sandringham Football Club

    Previous Physiotherapist for the Sandringham Sabres Basketball team and Tennis Australia.

  • Robyn Fitzgerald

    Senior Physiotherapist

    Graduated from Latrobe University in 1993

    Has worked in the private practice in the UK since 2000, and returned to Melbourne early in 2010

    Previously worked at Caulfield Rehab Hospital, and locum for Sandringham Sports Medicine, and re-joined SSM in 2010

    Previous sports experience with local soccer, tennis and squash clubs in the UK

    Special area of interest in Women’s Health/pelvic floor rehabilitation, as well as low back pain, and rehab of all sporting injuries

    Outside physiotherapy enjoys cycling and spending time with family

    Brett Walton

    Physiotherapist

    Graduated from Latrobe University in 2007, began working at SSM in 2008

    Previous experience working with sporting teams includes working as the team physio for a Victorian Amatuer Football Association Club in A Grade, and also as a trainer at AFL club Hawthorn FC

    Brett has a special interest in Ergonomic Assessment and also the diagnosis and treatment of difficult knee and ankle injuries, as well as utilizing Dry Needling in the treatment of chronic conditions as well as sports injuries

    Outside work enjoys tennis, golf and basketball and loves travelling

    Daniel O'Grady

    Physiotherapist

    Graduated from University of South Australia in 2000

    Has worked in private practice in Townsville for the past four years and joined the team at SSM in 2009

    Special interests include, motor vehicle accident related neck pain/Whiplash, the treatment of the lower back, knee and treating chronic pain

    Has worked with Sandringham Sabres Basketball and Taylormade Triathlon Club

    Utilises Dry Needling and Clinical Pilates also to achieve better clinical outcomes

    Outside physiotherapy enjoys surfing, triathlon and good food

    Physiotherapist

    Graduated from Bond University with Doctorate in Physiotherapy in 2009

    Graduated from Griffith University with Bachelor of Exercise Science in 2006

    Previously worked in private practice, with focus on Pilates and Hydrotherapy

    Previous sports experience with the England Rugby League team for the World Cup, dance and stunt cheerleading teams

    Special interest in the use of Clinical Pilates, as well as acute sporting injuries and injury prevention and uses Dry Needling in her management of patients

    Outside physiotherapy enjoys dancing, going home to the Gold Coast QLD to see family, friends and the beach

    Physiotherapist

    Graduated from Melbourne University in 2004

    Previously worked in Multi-trauma Rehab at the Alfred Hospital and Vic Rehab, private practice in both Melbourne and overseas and in public hospital outpatient settings in London

    Current joint physiotherapist for the Senior Women’s  Sabres Basketball Team

    Special interest in the use of Clinical Pilates for all forms of rehab, as well as neck, back, pelvic girdle, hip and knee pain and uses Dry Needling in her management of patients

    Outside physiotherapy enjoys travelling, skiing, netball, beach volleyball and tennis

    Physiotherapist

    Graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland in 2004

    Completed a Certificate in Manual Therapy (Manual Concepts) in Perth, 2007

    Previously worked in private practice in Scotland and New Zealand

    Previous sports work with the National Scottish Athletics team and World Cross Country Championships in 2008

    Special interest in the lower back, shoulder, Achilles, neck and all sporting injuries, and uses Dry Needling in her management of patients

    Outside physiotherapy enjoys netball, athletics, hiking and travelling

    Previously worked in various private practices in Melbourne

    Previous physiotherapist to the Ormond Football Club for the past 3 seasons, and various running clubs

    Current joint physiotherapist to the Sandringham Football Club

    Special interest in the use of Clinical Pilates to assess and treat all musculoskeletal and sporting conditions and uses Dry Needling in his management of patients

    Outside physiotherapy enjoys running, CrossFit and fishing

    Graduated from The University of Newcastle with Honours in 2011

    Previous sports work with the Newcastle netball association, the W-League Newcastle Jets and is a level 3 running coach

    Current joint physiotherapist for the successful Sandringham Zebras Football Club

    Special interest in running related injuries, lower limb injuries and all acute sporting injuries

    Outside physiotherapy enjoys running, coaching athletics, cycling and scaling mountains

To be fair to both patients seeking appointments, and our staff, we would appreciate 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling your appointments. We send SMS texts the day prior as your reminder. Failure to adequately notify us may result in full fees being charged.
